Scent Detection Training: Tap into your Dog’s Superpower

Looking for a new way to have fun and challenge your dog’s mind? Scent Detection is the perfect activity for dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. A dog’s nose is their most powerful tool, and tapping into this incredible ability is equally rewarding for both of you. It’s a great way to provide mental challenge, enrichment and build your dog’s confidence. Our training will teach you and your dog how to search for, locate, and indicate on target odours like Clove and Gun Oil. You’ll gain all the skills you need to enjoy fun events or even compete in trials run by Scentwork UK and the National Nosework Association.

My 17-month-old Lab (Roo) and I are loving our training with Claire and Adventure Canine

We have 1-2-1 lessons and also attend a weekly scent detection group class. Claire has taken the time to understand what I hope to achieve from the 1-2-1 sessions, and to understand Roo, who being both a working-type and an adolescent, has masses of energy and enthusiasm but not the life skills to manage them!! Claire has a very natural empathy with dogs and, over the sessions, has really helped me understand Roo and helped me work with Roo’s energy and enthusiasm. Roo is now much better at walking to heel, recall, and most impressively, she is jumping up less and learning to settle / self-sooth on her mat!! Through Claire’s guidance, support and kindness, I now understand Roo much better and have become a more confident dog owner. I look forward to practising the things I learn with Claire and seeing the positive changes in Roo. Claire is now one of Roo’s favourite people and Roo is always excited (but in a calmer way!) to see Claire, to show off what she has learnt and to learn new things. The scent detection classes are the first group classes I have done since puppy training. They are friendly and fun, and a great way to learn new skills and meet other dogs and dog owners. I would highly recommend them.
